Eligibility criteria

Admission:
Candidates seeking admission to the first semester of the Diploma program should have passed the SSLC Examinations prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu or any examination of any other board or authority recognized by the Board of Secondary Education as equivalent thereto with eligibility for Higher Secondary Education in Tamil Nadu.

Lateral Entry Admission:
The candidates who possess a pass is the HSC [Academic] or equivalent prescribed in the Higher Secondary Schools in Tamil Nadu affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Board, with a pass in at least three of the following subjects: Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practices / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subjects / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship are eligible to apply for Lateral entry admission to the third semester of Diploma programs, as per the rules fixed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. (or) The candidates who possess a pass in 2-year ITI with appropriate grade or equivalent examination. There is no age limit prescribed for admissions to Diploma programs. The medium of instruction is English for all courses, examinations, seminar presentations and project work reports, except for the programs offered in Tamil.
